S7comm client for S7-300 through S7-1500 via python-snap7, with a mock PLC for DB, I/O, and SZL tests.
Who it's for
An engineer attaching an MCP client to Siemens S7. Treat the write policy as the safety boundary: a gated write is still a write once you arm it.
Caveat / limitations
Absolute addressing of data blocks, I/O, and markers, plus CPU identity and state. Port 102. Writes are disabled unless you opt in. Optimized S7-1200/1500 blocks are not the same as absolute offsets; a successful connection is not proof you are reading the variable you think. This does not open TIA Portal. For project editing, look at Eigen or a TIA-specific tool.
