Methodology
Listing rules, in sentences you can quote.
These sentences are the rules behind the tags on a tool page. They describe the public surface opened on the last-verified date.
A write-policy tag is not a safety case.
Writes exposed
Writes exposed means a write tool is on by default. Nothing has to be armed before a client can change a value, a program, or a setpoint.
Writes gated
Writes gated means a write exists, and it stays off until someone arms it with a flag, an environment variable, or an explicit apply step. A gated write is still a write once you arm it.
Read-only
Read-only means the public tools we checked can browse, read, or diagnose. A write, download, or setpoint tool was not in that surface.
Inside the IDE
Inside the IDE means the assistant or add-on works in an engineering environment, on the open project. It is not a field-protocol client on the plant network.
Not a field writer
Not a field writer means the entry is not a client that writes a controller or a field device. Benchmarks, papers, and many plant-data products use this tag, which does not claim the product is inert inside its own platform.
Protocol tag
A protocol tag means the tool speaks that protocol or generates that language. A DataOps hub that only sits on top of OPC UA is not tagged OPC UA, and IEC 61131-3 is a language tag, not a field bus.
Last verified
Last verified is the day (YYYY-MM-DD) the cited sources were opened. Quote that date with the fact; a later crawl of this site does not move it.
What gets listed
A listing needs a public page, repository, or paper we could open: a vendor product, an MCP server or workbench, a benchmark with a stable URL and a figure we can cite, or an edge product whose agent claim is on the vendor site.
What stays out
Invented product names, guessed prices, general chatbots, courses, and consulting offers stay out. A repository that did not load is not linked as source.
Public dataset
The tool records are also published as /data/tools.json and /data/tools.csv, licensed CC-BY 4.0 (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/). Attribute OT AI Hub and link https://otaihub.com. dateModified on the file is the newest last-verified day in the index. The same records, one per heading, are in /llms-full.txt.
