HighByte Intelligence Hub MCP
Commercial industrial DataOps hub that publishes pipelines you model as MCP tools, including optional write-back.
Who it's for
Operations or data teams who already keep plant context in HighByte. Most of these products do not speak a field bus themselves.
Caveat / limitations
Intelligence Hub already connects OPC servers, PI, Ignition, and similar sources. MCP Services, described as present since version 4.2 (July 2025), exposes those pipelines as tools instead of handing an agent a raw protocol session. HighByte's FAQ says an agent can request current or historical data and can trigger operations such as a work order or a setpoint change if you built that pipeline. There is also an MCP client for third-party servers. You design the tool list. That is the governance, and also the way a setpoint write gets into the plant.
Protocols
No field protocol or IEC language is claimed. If this tool reaches a PLC, it does so through something else already named in the notes.
